Mobal billing explained

At Mobal, we want to make managing your profiles and billing as seamless as possible. We've recently updated how billing works when you add or remove profiles and locations to better match how most modern SaaS tools work.

What’s changing?

Previously, you could purchase a plan for one Mobal profile but still have up to four profiles without automatically updating your billing. Now, to ensure fairness and simplicity, your subscription will automatically adjust based on the number of active profiles and locations you manage.

How billing now works

Upgrading your plan

  • When you open the upgrade page, the default number of profiles shown will automatically match the number of active Mobal profiles you have.

  • If you don't have any Mobal profiles yet, the profile amount will start at one.

  • Archived locations are excluded from billing (you won’t be charged for them).

  • Permanently closed locations are included in billing because we continue to maintain data for them.

Adding a new location or profile

  • When you add a new profile and connect your first integration to it, your subscription will automatically increase by one.

  • You’ll see a clear notification letting you know that your billing will be updated when you connect a new profile.

  • You don’t need to manually update your subscription or contact support — everything happens automatically.

Archiving or disconnecting a location

  • When you archive or disconnect a location, your subscription amount will automatically decrease by one.

  • Archived locations will not be included in your billing going forward.

Why are we doing this?

This update ensures that your billing always reflects your actual usage, just like other SaaS services (for example, Notion). This helps keep things simple and transparent — you only pay for the profiles and locations you actively use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Mobal change my subscription without my explicit consent?

Yes. According to Stripe’s guidelines on subscription changes, we can modify subscriptions to match your actual usage without additional consent. This ensures your plan stays up-to-date automatically.

What if I have profiles but haven't connected any integrations yet?

If you’ve created a profile but haven’t connected any integrations, you won’t be charged for that profile. Billing only starts once you connect an integration and actively start using the profile.
