How billing works in Mobal

How your billing changes when you add, archive or disconnect profiles and locations, and which locations are billed.

Written by Mobal Support

This article explains how your billing changes when you add, archive or disconnect profiles and locations in Mobal. Use it if your subscription amount has changed or you are about to add or remove locations.

Who this applies to

  • Monthly subscriptions paid by card: your subscription adjusts automatically, as described below.

  • Invoiced contracts: your price does not change automatically. All changes to your contract go through our customer success team.

How your subscription adjusts

Your subscription is based on the number of active profiles and locations you manage, so your billing always matches what you actually use.

When you upgrade your plan

  • The upgrade page shows the number of active Mobal profiles you have.

  • If you don't have any Mobal profiles yet, it starts at one.

When you add a new profile or location

  • When you add a new profile and connect its first integration, your subscription increases by one.

  • You'll see a notification before your billing is updated.

  • You don't need to update your subscription or contact support.

When you archive or disconnect a location

  • Your subscription decreases by one.

Which locations are billed?

  • Archived locations are not billed.

  • Profiles with no connected integrations are not billed.

  • Permanently closed locations are billed, because we continue to maintain data for them.

We are not automatically notified when a location closes. To stop paying for a closed location, archive it in Mobal or let our support team know.

Can Mobal change my subscription without my explicit consent?

Yes, for monthly subscriptions. According to Stripe's guidelines on subscription changes, we can update your subscription to match your actual usage without additional consent.
