Step 1: Create or Log In to Apple Business Connect

To get started, visit businessconnect.apple.com

  1. Sign in with your Apple ID. If you don’t have one, you’ll need to create an Apple ID.

  2. After signing in, read and accept the terms and conditions.

  3. You’ll be prompted to choose your business type:

    • Small Business (recommended if you manage under 25 locations)

    • Enterprise (for larger operations and brand management across countries)

💡 Tip: Use the same Apple ID across all team members who manage locations in Apple Business Connect.

Step 2: Set Up Your Business and Add Locations

Once inside Apple Business Connect:

A. Add Your Business

  1. Click "Add".

  2. Enter your business’s core details:

    • Business Name

    • Website

    • Main Phone Number

    • Primary Category (e.g., Restaurant, Café, Sushi Bar)

  3. You’ll then be prompted to add your first location.

B. Add or Claim a Location

  • To claim a location already on Apple Maps:

    1. Search your business name and address.

    2. If found, select “Claim This Location.”

  • To add a new location:

    1. Select “Add”.

    2. Fill in location details including:

      • Address

      • Local phone number

      • Opening hours

      • Business description

      • Website URL

    3. Upload brand assets: logo and cover image.

How to Add a Brand in Apple Business Connect

In Apple Business Connect, brands help organize your locations—especially if you manage multiple concepts (e.g., "Burger Bros" and "Sushi Station") or operate in multiple countries or regions. Each brand is tied to a unique Brand ID, which is necessary for syncing data correctly with Mobal.

When Should You Add a Brand?

  • You operate more than one restaurant brand (distinct name, logo, etc.)

  • You manage a franchise or chain with regional/national variations.

  • You want to separate listings by country (e.g., one brand ID for Finland, another for Sweden).

Steps to Add a Brand in Apple Business Connect

  1. In the left-hand navigation, click on Brands.

  2. At the top-right corner, click the “+ Add Brand” button.

  3. Fill in the brand information:

    • Brand Name – e.g., “Mobal Sushi”

    • Country or Region – where this brand will be active (select one)

    • Website (optional, but recommended)

    • Category (e.g., Restaurant, Fast Food, Bakery)

You can only assign one country per brand. If your brand operates in multiple countries, you’ll need to create separate brand entries for each country.

  1. Upload brand assets:

    • Logo

    • Cover image

    • Any brand-specific metadata required by Apple

  2. Click “Create”.

Once created, the brand will appear under your Brands section in the Apple Business Connect navigation menu.

Step 3: Verify Your Business

Apple requires verification before publishing your location data. There are two main methods:

  1. Phone Call Verification:

    • Apple calls the listed number and gives you a code to enter.

  2. Document Upload:

    • Upload a business license, utility bill, lease agreement, or another document that matches the business name and address.

Verification usually takes 1–3 business days, but may be longer depending on the method and country.

Step 4: Connect Your Apple Account to Mobal

Once your business and locations are verified, you can link Apple Business Connect to your Mobal account.

  1. Login to your Mobal Dashboard.

  2. Go to Settings > Integrations.

  3. Click “Connect Apple Business Account”.

  4. Sign in using the Apple ID associated with your Business Connect profile.

  5. Mobal will request permission to access your Apple Business locations. Click Allow.

  6. After authorization, Mobal will import your Apple Company ID automatically.

Step 5: Retrieve Your Apple Brand ID and Company ID

Each Apple Business Connect account has two important identifiers:

A. Apple Company ID

This is the unique identifier for your overall Apple Business Connect account. Mobal retrieves this automatically during the connection process.

  • Example:
    In the URL:
    https://businessconnect.apple.com/company/1234567890/brand/9876543210

    1234567890 is your Company ID

B. Apple Brand ID

This ID is specific to each brand-country combination in your Apple account.

To Find Your Brand ID:

  1. In the left-hand navigation, click Brands.

  2. Click on the brand you wish to link.

  3. Once selected, check your browser’s URL:

    bashCopyEdithttps://businessconnect.apple.com/company/1234567890/brand/9876543210
    • 9876543210 is the Apple Brand ID.

📌 Repeat this for each brand or region you manage under Apple Business Connect.

Step 6: Sync and Maintain Your Apple Listing with Mobal

Once your Apple account is connected and Brand IDs are added:

  • Mobal will automatically push updates (address, phone number, hours, categories, etc.) to Apple Maps.

  • Any updates made in the Mobal dashboard will reflect across all linked Apple Business Connect locations.

  • You can manage all location metadata from one place — no need to log in to Apple separately.

Additional Tips

  • Always keep holiday hours and photos up to date in Mobal.

  • Use consistent naming and categories across platforms.

  • Use Mobal’s preview tools to see how your listing will appear on Apple Maps.

  • If managing brands across countries, keep a spreadsheet of Brand IDs for reference.
