Creating profiles EV Charging Stations
When the client sends an OCPI location creation request to Mobal’s API, we map it to the correct Mobal profile based on either the external ID or the Mobal profile id. All the charging stations on Mobal are connected to a Mobal profile to ensure that the Mobal profile in question is connected to a Google Business profile.
This is to ensure that the Google Business profile is verified and exists on Google. It also prevents new locations from being created on Google Maps without the customer having to claim the location afterwards.
This also ensures that the information is correct between the Mobal profile information and the information in your Google Business profile. We annotate the information sent through our EV API’s with the information from the connected Mobal profile.
This limits the amount of information needed from you to only the absolutely necessary information. Our EV API’s use the OCPI protocol for information handling, however, our API’s simplify the authentication process. Our EV API’s support real-time updates on your EVSE and charging port information, ensuring that your data is always up-to-date.
Updating EV Charging Station information
When new information or status updates are sent to Mobal’s EV API, we combine the information sent with the information in your Mobal profile.
This reduces the amount of information that has to be sent, and it ensures that the information sent forward is the same as in your Google Business profile. The information that is taken from your Mobal profile is:
Coordinates (latitude/longitude)
Address
Profile name
Postal code
City
The required information relates to the exact charging station:
The charging station ID, which can correspond to the Mobal profile external ID
Information on the EV Supply Equipment
The party ID
The timezone of the charging station
The country and country code of the charging station
The parking type
The name of it
Whether it is charging when closed
Whether it should be published on maps
