Adding Your Foursquare Location on Mobal
Once your location is added to Foursquare, follow these steps to connect it with Mobal:
Go to the Connections page in your Mobal dashboard.
Scroll down to Foursquare and click Connect
You will be redirected to Foursquare and prompted to log in to your account.
After logging in, grant the necessary permissions to link your Foursquare location with Mobal.

When adding a new place, make sure all details are correct. Proper spelling, capitalization, and formatting matter. Follow local postal guidelines to ensure your address is correctly formatted.
Avoid Redundancy
Minimize unnecessary information to keep listings clear and concise.

❌ Not Okay: "Starbucks - Springfield" (City information is already listed)
✅ Okay: "Main St (at 2nd St)"
❌ Not Okay: "Main St (Main St and 2nd St)" (Redundant information)
Address & Abbreviations
Use clear and readable address formats.
✅ Okay: "Highway 54" or "Route 31"
❌ Not Okay: "Hwy 54" or "Rte 31"
Exception: Do not abbreviate the beginning of a street address.
Cross Streets
Use standard abbreviations for intersections.
Example: "at Main St" (for corner locations), "btwn 2nd & 3rd Ave" (for locations between streets)
Selecting the Right Category
Choose the most accurate category for your business. The primary category determines the place icon in Foursquare.
Avoid Duplicates
Before adding a new location, search Foursquare to confirm that the place doesn’t already exist. Duplicate listings can confuse customers and affect visibility.
How to Create a New Place on Foursquare
Sign in and visit Foursquare’s Add a New Place page.
Enter the venue name, category, and full address.
Drop a pin on the map and select "Add."
