If you manage multiple locations, uploading them in bulk can save you time and effort. Mobal supports bulk importing of Google Business profiles via an Excel file, making it easy to get started.
Step 1: Download the Excel File from Google Business
Important: Uploading Excel Files for Google Business
To ensure the successful upload of your Excel file to Google Business, please follow these steps:
Language Requirements:
Your Excel file must be in English for the upload to work correctly. Additionally, your Google Business dashboard should be in English as well.How to Switch to English: If your dashboard is not in English, the easiest way to change it is by modifying the URL. Simply add
hl=en
to the end of your Google Business dashboard URL, like this:
www.google.com/business?hl=en
Sign in to your Google Business Profile account.
From your account dashboard, select the profiles you want to download.
A button with the CTA "Actions" will appear
Choose the section Download and click "Businesses"
Choose the format ‘Excel (.xlsx)’ for the file download. This file will contain all the details of your Google Business profiles.
Step 2: Review and Edit the Excel File (If Needed)
Open the downloaded Excel file and review the information. Make sure all your profiles have complete and accurate data.
If any updates are needed, you can edit the file directly to ensure the correct information is uploaded to Mobal.
Step 3: Log In to Your Mobal Account
Visit Mobal's login page and sign in to your account.
Navigate to the Profiles section from the dashboard.
Click the button "Add profile"
Choose the option "Bulk add profiles with xlsx".
Step 4: Upload the Excel File to Mobal
Choose the file you want to upload.
A file upload dialog will appear. Select the Excel file you downloaded from Google Business.
Upload the file.
Step 5: Confirm the Upload
Once the file is uploaded, Mobal will validate the data to ensure it's accurate. If any information is missing or needs attention, you'll be prompted to review and correct it.
Confirm that all profiles are listed correctly.
Step 6: Monitor the Sync Process
Mobal will now begin syncing the uploaded profiles. Depending on the number of locations, this might take a few minutes.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
File Format Errors: Ensure that the file is saved as an Excel file (.xlsx). Other formats might not be accepted.
Missing Data: If any data fields are incomplete, Mobal will notify you to update the information before proceeding.
Upload Failed: Double-check your internet connection and try again. If the problem persists, contact Mobal Support for assistance.
