Understanding how your business data is organized in Mobal helps you manage locations more efficiently, assign user roles correctly, and ensure accurate visibility across online platforms.

In Mobal, everything is built around three key building blocks:

1. ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ’ผ Account

An Account is the top-level container that groups your locations together.

You might have one Account for:

  • A single brand (e.g., Joeโ€™s Pizza)

  • A region (e.g., Finland Locations)

  • A business unit or franchise group

๐Ÿ” Why Accounts Matter

  • Each account can have its own users, roles, and access levels.

  • You need at least one Account to create a Location.

  • You can have unlimited Accounts and Locations in your Mobal profile.

๐Ÿ“ A Location can only belong to one Account at a time.

โšก Activation Note

To activate an Account, youโ€™ll need to assign it a Pro Plan. This unlocks all syncing, analytics, and profile management features.

2. ๐Ÿ“ Location

A Location is the core of your business presence โ€” it contains all the data that gets synced across directories.

Think of a Location as one restaurant, cafรฉ, shop, or service point.

๐Ÿงพ Location Data Includes:

  • Business name and description

  • Address and map pin

  • Phone number and website

  • Opening hours (incl. special hours)

  • Menu or services

  • Media (photos, logos)

Locations are where you create and manage the information that powers your online visibility.

๐Ÿ”’ You can choose whether or not to display the address publicly, depending on your business type (e.g. delivery-only, dark kitchens).

3. ๐ŸŒ Listing

A Listing is the live version of your Location on a third-party platform โ€” like Google, Apple, Bing, Facebook, and more.

When you sync your Location via Mobal, we push your data to create or update a Listing on each directory.

๐Ÿ”Ž What Listings Are:

  • The public-facing online profiles for your business

  • Hosted by each directory (not by Mobal)

  • Automatically updated and monitored by Mobal once connected

You can view listing status, sync issues, and performance directly from your Mobal dashboard.
