Duplicate listings of your business on Apple Maps can confuse customers, dilute your online presence, and affect your local search performance. Luckily, Apple makes it relatively easy to report and remove duplicates. Follow this guide to identify, report, and request the removal of any duplicate profiles on Apple Maps.


✅ Step 1: Check for Duplicate Listings

Before reporting anything, confirm that a duplicate listing actually exists.

  1. Open Apple Maps on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

  2. Search for your business name and address.

  3. Look for any extra listings that:

    • Have similar or identical names

    • Are located at the same or nearby addresses

    • Appear under old names or previous locations of your business


📝 Step 2: Report a Duplicate in Apple Maps

Once you’ve identified a duplicate, you can report it directly through Apple Maps.

On iPhone or iPad:

  1. Open the duplicate business listing in the Apple Maps app.

  2. Scroll down and tap “Report an Issue.”

  3. Select “Duplicate Location.”

  4. Choose the correct version of the business that should remain active.

  5. Add any extra comments or evidence if needed.

  6. Tap “Submit.”

On Mac:

  1. Open the duplicate listing in Apple Maps.

  2. Scroll down and click “Report an Issue.”

  3. Select “Duplicate Location.”

  4. Choose the correct business to keep.

  5. Click “Submit.”

ℹ️ Tip: If your business is managed in Apple Business Connect, make sure the correct version is the one linked to your Apple Business account.


⏳ Step 3: Wait for Confirmation

Apple will review your report. This typically takes a few days, but may take up to a week.

  • You will receive a notification via email (if you're signed in).

  • If approved, the duplicate listing will be removed or merged into the correct one.
