Google Maps and Apple Maps allow users to add media to business listings. You can delete media you have uploaded that you no longer want visible or if you notice inappropriate content, you can request its removal.

If the media has a trash can icon, it is uploaded by the business and can be deleted. If the media has a flag icon, it is uploaded by a customer and has to be reported.

Deleting Media You Uploaded

If you uploaded the media yourself, follow these steps to remove it:

  1. Open the correct profile in Mobal.

  2. Click Media.

  3. Select the integration you wish to delete media from.

  4. Find and choose the photos or videos you want to delete.

  5. Click Delete x items from the top of the page.

Requesting the Removal of Media Uploaded by Others

If you come across media that is inappropriate or outdated, you can request its removal.

Steps to Report a Photo or Video to Google

  1. Open the correct profile in Mobal.

  2. Click Media.

  3. Click Google.

  4. Find the media and click flag icon (Report a problem).

  5. Choose a reason (e.g., offensive, irrelevant, privacy concerns) and submit your request.

Google will review your request, but there’s no guaranteed timeframe for removal.

Additional Tips

  • Upload media regularly to keep the profile active, visually pleasing and topical.

  • Regularly review your media to ensure it aligns with your brand and is up to date.

  • Encourage customers to upload high-quality, relevant photos to enhance your listing.

By following these steps, you can maintain a clean and professional presence. If you need further assistance, contact our support chat from Mobal App.
