How to Connect Instagram Insights to Mobal

🧭 Prerequisites

Instagram Business account
Facebook Page linked to your IG account
Full control of the Facebook Page, or the Content and Insights tasks, given directly on the Page

🔗 Connect Your Account

Go to Profiles in the left menu and open the location.
Select the Connections tab.
Find Instagram and click Connect.
Choose how to log in:
- Instagram login for business if your Instagram is managed through a Meta business account.
- Standard Instagram login if it is managed through your personal Meta account.
Log in and grant Mobal access to:
- All Instagram Business accounts you want to connect
- All Facebook Pages linked to those accounts
- The required permissions (see below)
Complete the second step, Setup preferences.

💡 Connecting many locations? Go to Profiles, select the locations, click More bulk actions and choose Connect to Instagram under Integrations.

✅ Required Permissions

During the connection flow, be sure to accept:

instagram_basic
pages_read_engagement
instagram_manage_insights
ads_read

These allow Mobal to fetch engagement, reach, and audience metrics.

🔄 What Happens After Connection?

Mobal will pull 30 days of insights data immediately.
Future data is refreshed automatically every 24 hours.

🔎 Verify Connection

On the location's Connections tab, Instagram shows as Connected.
To see the insights, go to Analytics in the left menu and select the Instagram tab.
