How to Fix Instagram Insights Connection Errors in Mobal

🔍 Common Error Messages

🔧 Step-by-Step Troubleshooting

  1. Ensure Your Instagram Account is a Business Account

  2. Check Your Facebook Page Connection

    • Your Instagram account must be linked to a Facebook Page.

    • Go to Settings > Linked Accounts and confirm the connection.

  3. Reconnect Instagram in Mobal

    • Navigate to Settings > Integrations > Instagram in Mobal.

    • Click Reconnect and go through the Facebook/Instagram authorization flow.

    • Ensure all permissions are granted when prompted.

  4. Grant the Required Permissions

    • Permissions needed:

      • instagram_basic

      • pages_show_list

      • ads_read

      • instagram_manage_insights

    • If these weren’t granted, remove the app from your Facebook Business Integrations and reconnect.

  5. Clear Token and Reconnect (if needed)

    • In Mobal, go to Integrations > Instagram > Troubleshoot > Reset token.

    • Then, reconnect the integration.


🧪 Test the Connection

After reconnecting, return to your Insights Dashboard in Mobal and try refreshing the data.
