Overview

You can show different opening hours for your kitchen than for the rest of your business in Google – directly from Mobal.

This guide explains, step by step, how to:

  • Set or edit only kitchen hours

  • Keep your main business hours unchanged

  • Make sure the changes appear correctly on Google

Before you start

Make sure you have:

  • Access to Mobal with permission to edit locations

  • Your kitchen schedule ready (e.g. Mon–Fri 11:00–22:00, Sat–Sun 12:00–23:00)

  • The correct location selected (if you manage several locations)

Step 1: Go to the correct location in Mobal

1. Sign in to Mobal.
2. Open your Locations view.
3. Select the location whose kitchen hours you want to change.

Check that the location name and address match the place on Google where you want the kitchen hours to update.

Step 2: Open the opening hours settings

1. In the location view, find the section for opening hours.
This is usually labelled something like:

  • “Opening hours”

  • “Business hours”

  • “Hours & availability”

2. Open the hours editor.
This could be a button like “Edit hours” or a pencil/edit icon.

You should now see your current main business hours.

Step 3: Find (or create) the kitchen-specific hours

There are usually two common setups for kitchen hours in Google via Mobal:

  1. Kitchen hours are set as a separate hours type (e.g. “Kitchen”, “Food service”, “Pickup”, etc.).

  2. Kitchen hours are handled through “More hours” / Additional hours that you can name.

3.1. Check if “Kitchen” already exists

Look for an existing extra-hours block labelled something like:

  • “Kitchen”

  • “Food service”

  • “Restaurant (kitchen)”

  • “More hours” with “Kitchen” as a label

If you see an existing “Kitchen” hours entry:

  • Open it (click on the row, edit icon, or similar)

  • You will set the new hours there in the next step

3.2. If “Kitchen” doesn’t exist yet

If you don’t see kitchen hours, you’ll need to add a new special hours type.

Typically you will:

  1. Click “Add more hours”, “Add hours type”, or similar.

  2. Choose the relevant type that best represents your kitchen, for example:

    • “Kitchen”

    • “Dine-in” / “Food service” (if “Kitchen” isn’t listed)

  3. Save or confirm to create this new hours block.

After this, you should see a separate section for your kitchen hours that you can edit.

Step 4: Set the kitchen hours (without touching main hours)

Important: Only edit the hours inside the Kitchen (or equivalent) section.
Do not change the main “Business”/“Regular” hours if you only want to affect the kitchen.

For the kitchen hours section:

  1. Select the days the kitchen is open.

    • Tick/untick days as needed.

  2. Set opening and closing times for each day.

    • Example:

      • Mon–Thu: 11:00–22:00

      • Fri–Sat: 11:00–23:00

      • Sun: 12:00–21:00

  3. If the kitchen closes during the day and opens again, add a second time range for that day if supported.

    • Example:

      • 11:00–14:00

      • 17:00–22:00

  4. Save your changes in the hours editor.

Your main business hours should remain exactly as they were, and only the kitchen-specific section should be updated.

Step 5: Confirm how it will look on Google

Changes in Mobal sync to Google, but they may take some time to appear.

  • Usually it can take anywhere from a few minutes to a couple of hours.

  • On Google Maps and Search, customers may see a section such as:

    • “Kitchen hours”

    • “Dine-in hours”

    • “More hours”

To check:

  1. Search your business on Google (Maps or Search).

  2. Look under the main opening hours for any extra hours sections.

  3. Confirm that the kitchen hours match what you set in Mobal.

Common questions

Will changing kitchen hours affect my main opening hours?

No, as long as you only edit the “Kitchen” (or equivalent) hours section.
The main “Business”/“Regular” hours remain unchanged.

What if my kitchen is open only on certain days?

Set kitchen hours only on the days it is open:

  • Untick or disable the days when the kitchen is closed,

  • Or set those days as “Closed” within the kitchen hours section.

Your main hours can still show the business as open on those days if other services are available (e.g. bar, takeaway).

The kitchen hours are not showing on Google – why?

Try these checks:

  • Wait a bit longer. Google may take some time to update.

  • Confirm that the hours are saved in the correct location in Mobal.

  • Ensure you used an appropriate hours type (e.g. “Kitchen” / “Food service” / “More hours” type that Google accepts).

  • Check Google Business Profile directly:

    • If the hours appear correctly in Google Business Profile, they should also show to customers shortly.

    • If they do not appear there, there may be a syncing or setup issue.

If everything looks correct but still doesn’t show after a few hours, contact Mobal support.

Can I set different hours for kitchen, delivery, and takeaway?

Yes, if your Mobal setup and Google Profile support multiple hours types, you can:

  • Create one hours type for Kitchen

  • Another for Delivery

  • Another for Takeaway / Pickup

Each can have its own schedule, while the main business opening hours remain unchanged.
