Mobal’s sync function helps keep your business information up to date across various platforms, including Google, Facebook, and Bing. Here's how it works and what to expect from each platform after syncing.


What Does “Sync” Mean?

When you update your business information in Mobal (like your address, opening hours, or contact details), we push those updates to the platforms you’ve connected to your Mobal account. However, each platform handles those updates differently—and at different speeds.


What Happens After You Click Sync?

  1. We push your updated info to each connected platform.

  2. Each platform reviews and processes the update based on their own timelines.

  3. You can track the status of each sync within your Mobal dashboard.


Platform-Specific Expectations

Google

  • Publishing Time: Usually within minutes, but can take up to 48 hours.

  • Tips: You may need to verify your Google Business Profile if you haven’t already.

  • Status Message Example: “Published successfully” or “Verification needed.”

Facebook

  • Publishing Time: Typically updated within 24–48 hours.

  • Requirements: You must be an admin of the connected Facebook Page.

  • Status Message Example: “Published successfully” or “Page permissions missing.”

Bing

  • Publishing Time: May take up to 2 weeks for changes to appear across Bing Search and Bing Maps.

  • Why the Delay? Bing has a slower internal processing and review timeline.

  • Status Message Example: “Pending publication. Please allow up to 2 weeks for the location to be published.”


Common Sync Issues

Here are a few reasons why your updates might not publish right away:

  • The listing is still pending verification on the platform (especially common with Google and Bing).

  • You’ve lost admin access or permission to edit a connected page.

  • There are formatting issues or restricted content (e.g., phone number format, unsupported characters).
