When you turn on the sync function in Mobal, Mobal becomes the source of truth for your profile information. This means any updates you make in Mobal will be sent to the platforms you are connected to (like Apple, Google, and Bing). These updates will override any updates you do on the native platforms, such as on https://www.google.com/business/
To help you know if your information is up-to-date across different platforms, here’s how we display the sync status:
General Information
Last Successful Sync Time:
We show the last time your profile successfully synced with each platform.
If a sync fails, we’ll show you when it failed and when we’ll try again.
Platform-Specific Details
Unverified Locations:
If your location is not verified, your information won’t show up on Google Maps even if the sync is successful.
Status Message: "Location unverified. Data will not update on Google Maps until the location is verified."
Apple
Sync Status:
Syncing to Apple can take some time. We provide updates during this process.
When syncing: "Sync in progress. This may take a while."
When complete: "Sync complete. Your information is now up-to-date."
Bing
Pending Publishing:
After you connect to Bing, it can take about two weeks for your location to be published.
Status Message: "Pending publication, please allow up to 2 weeks for the location to be published."
Troubleshooting
Sync Failures:
If a sync fails, we’ll let you know when the next retry will happen.
Example: "Last sync failed at 3:00 PM. Next retry at 4:00 PM."
By checking these status messages, you can easily see whether your profile information is up-to-date on each platform and understand why it might not be live yet.
