To show your Instagram performance data in Mobal, you need to give Mobal certain permissions when you connect your account. This article explains which permissions they are, why they're needed and how to check them in Meta.
Required permissions and what they do
Meta shows these permissions by their technical names during the connection:
instagram_basic: access basic Instagram business account infopages_show_list: list and link your Facebook Pagesinstagram_manage_insights: read insights from posts, stories, audience and reachads_read(optional): read the performance of promoted Instagram content
Why permissions matter
Without the correct permissions, Mobal can't fetch your Instagram data. This shows up as missing data on the Instagram tab in Analytics.
How to check and update permissions
Find Mobal in the list.
Click View and Edit.
Make sure all the required permissions are turned on.
If a permission is missing: remove the integration in Facebook, then reconnect Instagram in Mobal. Go to Profiles, open the location, select the Connections tab, find Instagram and click Connect.
How to check it worked: Instagram shows as Connected on the Connections tab, and your data appears on the Instagram tab in Analytics.
