Overview
Your menus connect to your website through the Food Menu section in the website builder. What you need to do next depends on whether you're adding a brand-new menu or updating one that's already shown on the page — this guide explains both.
Before you start
Make sure the menu exists in Menus and is linked to the right business under Linked Business profiles in Menu Manager. A menu only shows on your website if it's linked to the Business profile the website represents.
Add a new menu to your website
A newly created menu does not appear on your website on its own. It needs to be selected once in the website builder, then published:
Go to Websites and click Edit website.
Open the page that has your Food Menu section, and open its Section settings.
Under Menus to display, select the new menu.
Click Publish (or Publish changes) to make the update go live.
Until you publish, the new menu won't show on your live website, even though it's already saved in Menus.
Update a menu that's already on your website
If a menu is already selected in Menus to display, any edits you make to it in Menus — items, prices, sections — appear on your live website by themselves. You don't need to open the website builder or publish again.
New vs. existing menu: what's different
Editing a menu that's already selected on the page: updates your website automatically. No action needed in the website builder.
Adding a brand-new menu: only shows up after you select it under Menus to display and click Publish.
Troubleshooting: I created a new menu but it doesn't show
Check that the menu is selected: Websites → Edit website → Food Menu section → Section settings → Menus to display.
Check that you clicked Publish after selecting it. The website only picks up a new menu selection once you publish.
Check that the menu is linked to the right business under Linked Business profiles in Menu Manager.
Use View site to check what's currently live, and refresh the page if you've just published.
