If you manage multiple business locations but only have one Facebook page, you’re not alone. Many businesses, especially chains or franchises, choose to centralize their Facebook presence. But is that the best approach for you?

It Depends on Your Goals

Whether using a single Facebook page works well depends on what you're trying to achieve. Here are some key considerations:

  • Are you trying to update local information (e.g. addresses, opening hours) on Facebook for each location?

    • If yes, we recommend creating a separate Facebook page per location. This allows each page to reflect accurate local info, display location-specific reviews, and sync effectively with tools like Mobal.

    • If no, and your focus is mainly on content posting, keeping one page can work fine—as long as the content is relevant to all your locations.

Common Approach Among Mobal Users

Most of our clients who use one page for multiple locations do the following:

  • Limit the page’s information to general, company-wide details like:

    • Business category (e.g., Restaurant, Fast Food)

    • Group-level branding

    • Broad service offerings

  • Avoid publishing specific contact info or addresses that could cause confusion.

  • Use the page primarily for centralized content posting, such as promotions or updates relevant to all locations.

Recommendation

If your primary interest is posting to Facebook, and you’re not updating location data (like addresses or opening hours), then managing a single Facebook page can be a practical solution.

However, if location-specific data accuracy is important, especially when syncing with platforms like Mobal or displaying in Facebook’s local search, we strongly recommend creating a separate page per location.
